I figure it is probably the centering spring in the back since the rest of the mechanism is free moving. I figure I would pull this one out since it is easy to get to being on top, re-seal it and replace the spring and the detent balls. once you have the centering plate, and levers off you'll see 4 bolts around each pintle shaft, removed the bolts and the centering plate mounts, and pull the smaller plate off the top of the pump. seals are set in a counterbore in the plate.

Lubricate the valve spool, then gently slip a new seal onto the spool, working it to the centering spring end of the spool.
