last winter vermeer sent it to a kubota dealer and they replaced the injectors and it ran fine that winter and all summer. as soon as it got cold this year it started all over again. i have to glow it 4-5 times when under 30 degrees before it will start. vermeer has wrote me off because the motor has a two year warranty not the machine. Used the tiller in 98 degrees to install edgers with no problems. The old Ramrod would have lasted 15 minutes before it died (literally) from the heat. LIFT CAPACITY - vermeer wins. I picked up 1600 LBS to 4 feet and could move it forward and back. No joke, pallet half full of pavers. The Vermeer S800TX is close isn't it? Little bit bigger than most mini's but has the sprocket up on the chassis rather than in the dirt. DW needs to come up with the same style setup.
I use only for trenching. FYI The high torque trencher attachment runs ALOT stonger than bobcats version. I demoed the vermeer and the ditchwitch, and didnt like the controls. I've got the trench cover up attachment, boring attachment, and two trencher units, one for a spare while the other is getting fixed. and the bucket/forks.
